Warren Miller

Warren Miller is founder and president of Fountainworks. Prior, he led the Public Enterprise Ventures division of AH HA!, a national consulting firm specializing in market research. He is well known in government and nonprofit circles for his leading-edge approaches to public opinion and market research. He pioneered the CitizenConnect™ qualitative research and analysis approach, which is seen as the ‘next generation' to focus groups. He has led a number of large-scale community forums including a knowledge sharing and idea generation ‘Café' with 400 participants as part of the 2003 Southern Environmental Leadership Summit.

He has worked extensively with local, state and federal government agencies, nonprofit organizations and schools to develop deeper and more accurate insights about their citizens and stakeholders and translate those insights into organizational strategies and the development and marketing of services.

Before joining AH HA!, he served as Policy Director to former North Carolina Governor Jim Hunt, where he helped manage the development and implementation of the Governor's policy agenda. He also served as the Governor's liaison to North Carolina 's nonprofit community. Warren also worked in Washington , D.C. , as a campaign and public policy consultant.

William A. "Beau" Mills

Beau is a senior partner with Fountainworks. He served as Executive Director for the North Carolina Metropolitan Coalition, an organization comprised of 25 Mayors of the larger cities in the state– focusing on economic development, public safety and urban infrastructure with a special emphasis on transportation. The 25 mayors representing each member city set the Coalition’s specific priorities.

Beau served as Senior Policy Adviser to N.C. Governor James B. Hunt Jr. He worked on transportation, economic and environmental policy issues and was the Governor’s liaison to the State Legislative Commission on Smart Growth.

Before joining the Governor’s Office he spent eight years in Washington DC, with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency where he served in a variety of roles and assignments, including the White House Office of the Vice President on the staff of the White House Community Empowerment Board. His other assignments included work with the Pentagon for economic and environmental revitalization of closing military bases and US EPA team that created the National Brownfields Cleanup and Revitalization Program.

Beau was awarded an Eisenhower Fellowship in 2006 and spent six weeks in the People’s Republic of China to learn more about China’s urban and economic development strategies. He was awarded the 2007 Contribution to Transportation by the Institute of Transportation Engineers.

He has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Masters in Public Administration from the University of West Florida.

Yancey Hall

Yancey Hall is the Director of Fountainworks Media Group-the media consulting division of Fountainworks, Inc. With over ten years experience in technology consulting, marketing and new media development, Yancey has developed communication and marketing strategies for Fortune 1000 companies, public sector institutions, and some of the world's most recognizable brands. His work has been praised in the software industry and has been featured in publications around the world.

Prior to joining Fountainworks, Yancey was the executive producer of PGI Interactive, the multimedia and Internet division of PGI, an event and communications agency. As one of the founders of the division, Yancey managed both the sales and production of interactive accounts. He was instrumental in developing technology and communication solutions for the company, including brand development, e-business solutions, streaming media services, and creative design solutions.

Prior to joining PGI Interactive, Yancey spent three years at the National Geographic Society, where he was a lead producer and site architect for National Geographic Interactive. His features have been praised in USA Today, NetGuide, and other media.

Yancey is a native of North Carolina. He was educated at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he received a B.S. in Business Administration. He also holds an M.A. in English from North Carolina State University.

Michelle Fleming

Michelle Fleming successfully translates her understanding of consumer and marketplace dynamics into actionable insights. Her seventeen years of extensive market research experience encompasses a broad range techniques and studies including: concept development, branding, positioning, consumer segmentation, need gap analysis, consumer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, program effectiveness assessment, advertising positioning and messaging. She has conducted research with a broad range of clientele and understands the challenges of effectively surveying Hispanic and African- American populations.

Ms. Fleming worked at Pergo Inc., where she was the Vice President of Strategic Marketing and was responsible for branding, interactive marketing, market research, competitive intelligence, consumer affairs, and customer service. Before joining Pergo, she spent eight years at Helene Curtis (Suave, Finesse, Degree) in market research.

Ms. Fleming graduated from the University of Chicago with a Masters of Business Administration, specializing in Marketing, Finance and Health Administration. She has a Bachelor of Science from Lewis and Clark College in Psychology and Communication.
