Brie Anderson joined the Fountainworks team in July 2022 as the Communication Specialist and Program Manager. In her role, Brie focuses on internal and external communication strategies. Prior to joining Fountainworks, she worked for nearly 15 years covering government, business, and nonprofits as a reporter for North Carolina community newspapers. Brie obtained a B.A. degree in mass communications with a minor in leadership studies from Kansas State University.
Brie lives in Wilson, NC, with her husband James and their dog, @KaceyTheGoldenDood. In her spare time, the trio like to explore new businesses, watch movies, go to baseball games and generally travel. Brie also enjoys painting, experimenting with alcohol inks and wire wrapping seaglass jewelry. She volunteers for Waymakers of North Carolina, bolstering awareness about the once-a-month meal giveaway and helps secure donations to help more Wilsonians in need.
