Emily is joining Fountainworks after completing a Masters of Public Administration (MPA) degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Emily also holds a BA in Sociology from Vanderbilt University.

At UNC, Emily is a recipient of the Robert W. Bradshaw Fellowship and is concentrating in Nonprofit Management during her MPA studies. She completed her summer PWE (Professional Work Experience) with Fountainworks and has continued to work part-time for the organization during her second year. Before moving to the Triangle for graduate school, Emily lived in Charlotte, where she served in various roles on the operations team of the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina.

In her spare time, Emily enjoys traveling to explore new places or visit family and friends. Her favorite hobby is pottery, where she is passionate about balancing form and function in her ceramic works. Emily lives with her husband and their two dogs, and relishes spending time with them as much as possible.
