NC Space Grant wanted to generate and capture input from professionals in STEM fields to shape the priorities and direction of their program going forward.

NC Space Grant and Fountainworks worked together to hold four focus groups with key stakeholders. These included a session with the advisory board and three sessions spread throughout NC with experts in the fields of aerospace, engineering, education, and others. The focus groups were meant to gauge the stakeholders’ opinions on the strategic direction of the program.

The focus groups identified critical needs, strategic partnerships, and their preferences through full and group conversation. These results were incorporated into NC Space Grant’s new strategic plan.
